You need A2 compensators to complete your upper receiver, but you also need to be able to install compensators without damaging the compensator baffles. The Luth-AR A2 compensator peel washer is the piece that goes in the slot of the compensator baffles. It prevents the compensator from getting caught on the barrel like a sock does, which happens when the compensator is installed incorrectly. The compensator peel washer should only be used on A2 compensators and not A2 front blade comps. All A2 compensator peel washers are machined from high strength steel and are not intended for use with any other compensator.
